Jesus,
You are our champion. You deliver us from those who threaten and taunt us, from our fears, from our failures, from demonic forces that would devour us. Help us go with you – away from death and toward life.
Amen.
Almighty Lord, help us obey your command to love and pray even for those who are our enemies.
Almighty Father, create new relationships and associations among people so that war will become less likely or even impossible.
Almighty Jesus, redeem our broken and dying institutions and hearts, which, even when they are doing good deeds, can break your heart.
Almighty Spirit, comfort our own broken hearts and sustain us in the face of overwhelming anger, fear, and despair.
Almighty God, help us find the fullness of your righteousness and kindness – help us find your kingdom.
